Well, beyond the old system of servitude that the old movie studios used to operate under and the major music labels still seem to be trying to keep alive, it brings up a perspective on society and our place in it that I, as an introvert and isolationist, (kinda like one of those nay-sayers driving by with window down) don't really see much of let alone understand. And it sort of reinforces, or verifies some things I'm running across in Amy Butcher's book "Mothertrucker" which I'm in the middle of reading right now.
