Why We Continue

“There is reason to fear: a great poem, like a great love, challenges our solitude, our conceptions, the very ground of being. Encountering such a poem, we tremble a little as we enter its gates. Yep, challenges are the ultimate bucket list. I can’t imagine running out. Too many things I can get better at.
