Still Kicking

I had an intense 3-hour session yesterday with Charey Fox (4th from top), founder of Together  Source. We've been working together for several years and I continue to be amazed at her ever-deepening skills and ability to enlighten.

I'm in a house that Charey owns and when we've interacted noticed she's seemed preoccupied. Today she showed me a video of her former husband saying goodbye -- from his bed -- to his loved ones. He will "leave us" day after tomorrow.  A month ago he was fine but then, suddenly, didn't feel well. It got worse and recently he was diagnosed with Mad Cow Disease. It wasn't clear whether he has classic CJD or vCJD; both are fatal.

    1. Thank's John.

Besides still kicking, I'm still working. Charey helped me drop some of the baggage. I almost feel like Tiny Tim tiptoeing thru the tulips. (Can't even BEGIN to imitate his falsetto!)

    1. Thanks Graht. The "stats" show a fairly high visitation rate, about 60/day. My memory being what it is I've written write mostly for myself, to have a way to recall where I was when. So given the number of people stopping by, I've always wondered, "Who could possibly be interested in this?"

Thanks for saying hello...and goodbye. (Tho I may be around for a while; I didn't expect to last THIS long.

  3. Your comment "Who could possibly interested in this?" deserves a response. Your posts have been short and direct, often leaving the reader with some responsibility to to do something else like listen to a piece of music or do some research clarifying such thoughts as 'where is that mountain range that that guy is pooping in front of?' Frustrated and closeted artists who labor or labored away with meaningless corporate jobs may read your posts profiling artists (often edgy) may also read your bio and think 'lucky guy...he used to get paid for enjoying what he enjoys now.' Writing for other people is a job; writing for oneself is pure; people appreciate reading your clean, succinct thoughts. And then there is Phoebe...

  4. One more thought. There is no internet when the lights go out. Your blog, we can all it art, will exist for a long time (although Blogger/Blogspot is a dead platform and will undoubtedly end at some point). You might want to write a few posts that someone (hopefully a willing woman) could post into the future. No one would need to know that you wrote them beforehand. They could just read and say "WTF?"

    1. There're three posts scheduled; I keep moving them back. The last one is a poem from *Magister Ludi.*
