Purple Robe & Hyacinth's Majesty

I became enamored of hyacinths when walking to school in Rolla, Missouri. At that age, when one is low to the ground and they profuse, their scent accompanied me the entire way. And the color!!

(Slow-paced Nutria's, we celebrate holidays for weeks. It was just the other day, a week or so, I discovered Michelle's presents -- purchased at the Bluff Arts Fest in October. I gave them last night.)

She found the robe online. Marketeers of yore used to predict the internet would never be commercially viable as it was impossible to accurately convey color. She lucked out royally!

  1. Came to you via Al(rolling steel tent). Especially like the colors in your pictures including the robe. It seems as though the current "in style" colors are just shades of gray. There's a new subdivision near us that we call the gray canyon. Anyhow thanks for the post.

    1. Hal,

      Thanks for stopping by.

Yes, America's aesthetic is disappointing. When I was in Menlo Park (California) a couple of years ago for eye surgery, Kristen and I went to the mall. See:

The Asian women were decked out in everything from chic elegance to pseudo-Catholic school-girl uniforms heavily nuanced with Punk. The American women were in colorful prints.

I normally travel in a 1996 Geo Tracker SUV, but it needed rebuilding so I've spent the past three months in Albuquerque with my spouse. See:

Repairs are almost completed. I'm looking forward to returning to the wilds in a few days (mtns west of Arivaca, AZ)

Your profile says you've been on Blogger since 2015, but no blog. Do you have a website? Do you travel?

    2. Do travel a bit in the south west, with a pu and trailer, quite a bit more bother than you. Don't blog, the profile was probably a mistake, while trying to respond to another's blog, as my IT skills are wanting. Have been to that area of Buenos Aires NWR. The vistas of golden dry grass and the mtns there are beautiful in the winter.

    3. I started out with a van in 2010, but it was too big. I gave it to a homeless woman. See:

I've contemplated a pu with pop-up camper but none get 26 mpg...like Phoebe.

I was surprised at how tedious Blogger was/is. I STILL can't reply to or leave comments using my phone.

I have vague recollections of maybe having visited the Buenos Aires NWR, but it looks like it might be just the spot for this time of year. Thanks for the encouragement.
