Los Padres National Forest - California

You can tell when a blogger's been busy. And nuthin' keeps me busier. See her in red at center right on her chaise.

That's Lopez Lake in the swale.

Beware the poison oak. It's been over a month and I'm STILL scratching my arms.

  1. Damn, we were very near each other, but maybe not at the same time. I was up on TV Tower Road north of SLO for a couple of days.

  2. Not TOO distant, eh?. If you go down into Pozo and that area watch out for the poison oak. Three weeks later I'm STILL slathering my arms with calamine lotion.

I've camped a couple of times on TV Tower prior to dropping into the valley. As a warning....yuh know how everyone always encourages us to Be Safe!? Well, I had a VERY rough encounter on TV Tower with a ranger who seemed intent on provoking me. In his mid-30s (estimated), close-cropped, of multi-ethnic stock, he was *extremely* belligerent.

I'm keepin' an eye out for yuh. Will stop if I can.

  3. Rangers drove by several times without even pausing.
