Tucson Ho!!!

This could be my next blog banner. There was rumor the shorts had fallen into the fire, but they resurfaced. Hah!!

The photo I'm holding was one of many by Eadweard Muybridge, famous for his "motion studies."
Poetry in motion; don't you agree?

A painting bought from a cafe in Ajo, Arizona. The proprietor said the artist had returned to Michigan to die of cancer. It "livens" each day for me.

Japanese Archery

I'm sort of ambidextrous; I draw a bow and bat right-handed, but use a fork and (used to) shoot a rifle left-handed. An injury to my left eye put an end to the riflery, but unwilling to give up completely I got me a 20-guage pump and began practicing my Rifleman stance.

But, you know, the racket is kinda annoying.

Then something jogged the memory of a cultural exchange event that featured some archers. They, three of each sex, fired the length of the main gym at the University of New Mexico.
I recalled the quiet too.

Obstacles That Must Be Thrown Away

It's been a little over a year since I began fooling with my Samik breakdown (25 pd draw). Bored with hitting the target, I took to the internet for inspiration. Within minutes I found this group in Tuscon. They were very welcoming and although there wasn't a lot to incorporate into my practice, I enjoyed watching.

German RV

My RV suites me perfectly but every now and then I see another that catches my eye. On November 9, I was wending my way toward the west coast when I came across this one at the Pima Air & Space Museum outside Tuscon.

Note the bit of patriotism on the starboard side of the cabover.

Understatement rules -- The Name (above the shotgun door) tastefully aligned with the window aperture.

It's also above the driver's door...Woelcke Offroadmobile. Their bespoke conversions are a self-defined class...Deutsch, of course. Here's a link to a list of Mercedes/Sprinter conversion websites.
